Established in 1975 is one of the oldest horse rescue facilities in the nation. Thanks to countless donors and volunteers, we have had the pleasure of helping over 4,500 animals while providing education and equine therapy to children groups, veterans, and university students. I have been volunteering there for ten years.
In Tampa Florida for 35 years. They have been helping rescue abused and abandoned big cats from the fur trade, the circus, and ending the abuse of the practice of posing with big cats and their cubs because it creates a flood of discarded cats that serves no conservation value and end up dead or in a conditions that are often even worst. You will find us to be completely transparent in our values and care of our 60 plus wild cats and finances.
Started by Pat Derby and Ed Stuart in 1985. Pat Derby used to train big cats for commercials and she rescued a baby elephant named 71 from the Ringling Bros. Circus. She and Ed realized how elephants and big cats are abused to make them perform in the Circus. They have 2500 acres of elephant heaven in San Andreas, California. They have 11 elephants, bears and big cats that are enjoying a life of peace away from the abuse of the circus or being pets, confined in unbearable conditions from Roadside Zoos or people’s back yards.
Established in the 1990’s, is a project that provides a sanctuary and rescue for elephants. Set in Chiang Mai province in Northern Thailand, the park became a home to many distressed elephants that have been rescued from all over the country.
It offers rescue and rehabilitation services to orphaned infant elephants whose parents have been poached. After they have been taken in and rehabilitated, they are released back to the wild once they are ready.
Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, to help the street dogs and cats who had no-one else to care for them. Our work with street animals consists of spaying and neutering to prevent unwanted puppies and kittens being born into short lives of suffering, along with the rescue, vaccination, medical treatment, sheltering, and adoption of those that cannot be returned to their territory.
